TBC Youth Sailing: A Summer of Sucess!
The Olympic and Paralympics had given a boost to British sailing with so many medals being won by Team GB.
Several sailing sessions have been run over the school summer holidays as well as our core Junior sailors we have attracted some new sailors both to the Club and from some of our members whose children are now old enough to take part, this included one disabled child of a long term member. William Thomas has been involved in coaching some Oppie sailing which was well received.

Our Youth Sailing Members have been successful in the following: William Thomas 9th at the Topper National Championships at Pwllhai and 34th in the Toppers World at Workum in Holland. William has applied to join the UK GBR Topper Squad and
has aspirations to be in the top 3 at the UK Nationals in 2013!
Tom Renny came 1st at the Dale Cyrc and 6th at the Welsh Schools in Cardiff Bay. He also did well at the Welsh Championships at Pwllheli and at the Irish Nationals at Kinsale.
Still to come the Acorn Regatta at Llangors, the Fishguard Regatta, the final Cyrc at PYC and the RYA Volvo UK Zone Championship at New Quay.
Special mention must go to our up and coming member, Lydia Edwards who wrote her own report which was read out to the committee.
